Certified School Nurse
Certified School Nurse full-time position

Responsibilities: Make health-related educational recommendations for students
individualized education plans (IEPs) or Section 504 plans per ISBE guidelines, participate in a variety of meetings and interdisciplinary teams for the purpose of gathering, conveying and/or sharing information
on students health needs, service delivery, and educational programs, administer first aid and specialized medical treatments, assist with mandated screenings (vision, dental, hearing), assess situations
for student safety and other related issues, contact parents to advise them of changes in students; health,collaborate with building RN and district lead nurse, collaborate with parents, students, and health care
providers, foster and maintain students; confidential files and records, properly maintain medications for the purpose of adhering to the district medication policies and procedures, and perform related duties as
assigned.

Qualifications:

State of Illinois Professional Educator License
School Nurse endorsement for all grade levels
Illinois Registered Nurse License
Illinois Department of Public Health certified in vision and hearing, preferred
Current CPR/AED Certification

SPECIAL EDUCATION (LBS1) TEACHER

Full-time position for a Special Education Teacher for Franklin Jefferson Counties Special Education District #801. FJSPED Special Education teachers work in specialized programs for students with disabilities.  Special Education create individualized learning plans and activities for students at the appropriate developmental level utilizing a variety of instructional and behavioral techniques. Special education teachers are responsible for completing necessary information for IEP’s and for managing paraprofessionals within their classroom. Must have proper Illinois certification/license, or ability to obtain emergency certification.

Paraprofessional/Aide

 

Full-time position for a Paraprofessional/Aide for Franklin and Jefferson Counties Special Education District #801. Submit application and paraprofessional certification with IEIN (if attained).  Sesser-Valier Location:
We have an open position for a program aide at a FJSPED special education program located in Sesser-Valier School District. The program focuses on serving students with intellectual disabilities, those on the autism spectrum, communication disorders, and developmental delays. The program is designed to increase daily living skills and functional skills for students with significant intellectual disabilities, and to
teach age and developmental level appropriate academic, social, and behavioral skills.
The pay starts at Step 1 on our salary schedule, at $18,695 a year (180 days) for the school year (August– May). Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree or specialized training receive a increased starting wage. 15 sick days and 3 personal days are allotted at the beginning of each school year. $693 per month in insurance benefits.

GED, plus passing a background check.
There is also a paraprofessional license that will be
required, but we can help you get that.

School Psychologist

Permanent School Psychology position open on the FJSPED School Psychology team. School Psychologists at FJSPED work collaboratively with school staff and parents to assess student skills, develop and implement interventions, and improve multi-tiered systems of support for struggling students from ages pre-k to 21.  School Psychologists consult with school staff on behavior, academic, and social emotional interventions and data collection.  The School Psychology team participates in a multitude of learning opportunities and professional development throughout each school year, often including attending NASP Conferences, ISPA Conferences, Special Education Law workshops, Behavior Modification workshops, Trauma workshops, and more. Opportunity to join the Behavior Team exists.  

Illinois School Psychology Professional Educator License or coursework towards license is required.
